A man decided to get revenge after spending hours clearing snow from a parking spot, only to find that his neighbor had parked in it.
In a video posted on his TikTok profile, Murlin Deshawn showed that after losing the spot he had cleared, he strategically placed several piles of snow in front of his neighbor’s car.
“POV: someone stole the spot you cleared, so you put every shovel of snow back [in place],” Deshawn wrote in the text overlay on the clip, which has already accumulated over 4.5 million views.
In the comments, users shared their opinions on the situation. “I fully support this because people are so mean and inconsiderate,” commented one TikTok user. “This is the right level of pettiness and I’m here for it,” joked another.
Deshawn received some criticism after explaining that the spots in front of his apartment are not reserved. Still, many argued that the issue was the neighbor taking advantage of the work he had done to clear the spot and intentionally parking there.
“Even if it’s not a reserved spot, you see your neighbors working outside and [do] your own as well. Common courtesy,” argued one commenter. “People have no respect for anyone,” lamented another.
In a follow-up video, Deshawn said that his neighbor called the police, claiming “public disturbance.” He recorded and posted the interaction he had with his neighbor the next morning.
“When someone […] spends over six hours during a snow day […] digging out the car […] and you just don’t spend time because someone took your spot,” exclaimed Deshawn to the neighbor, who tried to argue that “it wasn’t on purpose.”
“It was on purpose. I spent an hour and a half taking every piece of snow [with the shovel] and putting it collectively there,” Deshawn added about his revenge. “Don’t forget, someone might have more time than you today.”
It’s worth noting that through his revenge, Deshawn did not damage the neighbor’s property. He simply returned the snow to where it had been around the car of someone who decided to take advantage of his work to park without worrying about the snow.
